Absentee Bid Terms and Submission form
By submitting your absentee bids, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1) Each absentee bid will be subject to a 10% Buyers Premium added to the final bid price.
2) If the items you win will need to be shipped to you, you agree to pay packing, shipping and insurance costs as determined by Mark Van Hook, Auctioneer.
3) All items are sold as is with no returns or refunds for any reason. OCCS and its members and Mark Van Hook, Auctioneer and his staff have provided images and where possible descriptions of the items that are believed to be accurate, but a detailed examination of each item for each potential absentee bidder is not possible.
4) All absentee bids plus shipping are to be paid for by Visa or Mastercard within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Please be sure to submit a phone number where you can be reached on the evening of May 6, 2022 in the form below.
5) All absentee bids are to be executed competitively. That is, bidding for the absentee bidder is to be performed as if that bidder were present at the auction bidding for themselves.
6) In the event that there are two or more absentee bids on the same item, the clerk will start the bidding at an amount equal to the second highest bid plus one bid increment.
7) In addition to these policies, all absentee bidders are required to abide by the same terms and conditions of the auction as live bidders.
8) Although every effort is made to execute absentee bids, absentee bidders agree to hold OCCS, the auctioneer, and his staff blameless should bids fail to be executed.
